Composition Component
The Colonial Symphony's Composer-in-Residence, David Sampson, teaches creativity/composition classes to selected students at Morristown High School. This is a computer-based course that uniquely combines pure creativity with technology. At a special "Open Master Class" at the end of the year, Colonial Symphony musicians perform the best of the student work. This course has become the linchpin of the Morristown music education program, and the Open Master Class, which is attended by the entire music department, is a highlight of the year.
